If you’re a huge art buff and a sucker for free things, you’re in for a treat this weekend. The Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival will have a spread of 250 events during the span of 13 – 14 September hours, and admission is free.
In collaboration with KLPac, the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival will be holding its first festival with a variety of activities. Festival-goers can expect to find film, music, dance, theatre and workshops for all ages. There will movie screenings on films by the late Yasmin Ahmad and our other talented local filmmakers. If you’re into dance, check out Dayana Diwali, a Malaysian choreographer, and her contemporary piece Angin Betari.
If you’re more hands on, why not try one of the numerous dance workshops the festival has to offer. As for theatre buffs, the award-winning Projek Disko Baldi will surely have you in stitches. Familiar local musicians such as Nick Davis, Froya, An Honest Mistake and Liyana Fizi will also be performing at the festival.
13 – 14 September, 10am – 5pm (regular activities); 8.30pm – 10.30pm (Gala)
