Finding Vivian Maier is a critically-acclaimed documentary about Vivian Maier, a mysterious nanny and street-photographer who secretly took over 10,000 photographs in her lifetime. The director of this documentary, John Maloof, discovered her work by accident after purchasing them at an auction. He then decided to unravel the mystery of her life by analyzing and reviewing her work and interviewing the people who thought they knew her. Join him in the journey to discover and explore a hidden artist’s life in this screening organized by Lostgens.

The documentary premiered at 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and was shown on cinemas and released on DVDs in 2014. It was also nominated for Best Documentary Feature at 87th Academy Awards.
