What do you love more? Bicycles or coffee? Coffee or bicycles? Well, while you’re in TTDI, you can love both at the same time, thanks to new café The Grumpy Cyclist. With the recent coffee shop explosion around Kuala Lumpur, it’s hard to know when a new place will be unique. However, The Grumpy Cyclist really sets itself apart: it has been designed with a passion for cycling in mind. The café is equipped with bike racks to park your ride, and even has showers available, just in case you need to freshen up after a ride. There is also a container space within the café which may be used as a workshop in future.Of course, you don’t need to love cycling to stop by. The Grumpy Cyclist also offers coffee, cakes and breakfasts (mmm, chocolate chip pancakes) in a pleasantly bright space with free wifi. Oh, and their staff are not grumpy at all.On Thursday 23 January, The Grumpy Cyclist will host its first night ride. Cyclists can gather at the café at 8.30pm and join the route through TTDI, Kiara, Hartamas, and Damansara Heights. It will be a 30km ride and is open to cyclists of all levels.Jessie Marie LaDouceurThe Grumpy Cyclist, 36, Jalan Datuk Sulaiman Taman Tun Dr. Ismail 60000 Kuala Lumpur.
