What is it?

A fusion fast food joint offering gourmet hot dogs and rice burgers. Say what?

These classic Western staples have been given a Japanese twist – the clue’s in the name. Good quality sausages (beef and chicken) give a satisfying bite for their hot dogs, which come slathered with teriyaki sauce and wasabi mayonnaise.

As for their rice burgers, strips of meat are sandwiched between rice “buns” covered with a slice of seaweed, giving new form to the traditional burger.

Who is it?

Started by two friends, Kevin Chan and Daniel Phua, the first outlet opened early 2013 at Shaftsbury Square in the multimedia hub of Cyberjaya. Leaving their jobs in the banking field, they decided to venture into the little tapped market of serving gourmet hot dogs complemented by a different take on the usual burgers.

If it’s hot dogs you’re looking for, try their BBQ Crunch. A meaty sausage wrapped with bacon, cheese, mashed potatoes, in-house smokey BBQ sauce and Japanese mayo, topped off with crispy onion rings. It’s a decadent delight.

For the rice burgers, Yakiniku Beef comes recommended. Premium Australian strip-loin beef cut is marinated in the very same BBQ sauce, mixed with sautéed onions, fresh lettuce and lashings of Japanese mayo. It’s like eating a bento box crossed with sushi.

The onion rings are a bestseller. You can also opt for a side of fries, upgraded with a chilli cheese topping.

Cost.

Hot dogs are priced between RM8.90 – RM12.90. Rice burgers ranged from RM9.90 to RM14.90.
