NSFW: Not Safe For Work is the local iteration of a critically-acclaimed production written by Lucy Kirkwood, set in the offices of a British men’s magazine. You can catch the performance at [email protected] at 8.30pm on 10 – 12 July.

The play looks into the reactions of the people working for a men’s magazine when they find out that the topless winner of their “Local Lovely” competition is an underage teen.

The original play received rave reviews from The Guardian and The Telegraph and was noted for its humourous satirical attack on the publishing world of soft porn and the people involved in it. This edition looks to replicate that same snarky humour and scathing criticism of the industry.

The play is directed by Marvin Wong, who has been active in various local productions under KLPAC and Ribbit Edutainment for the past seven years. He has worked on Christmas Carol, The Illusion, Lost and Found, A light in KL City and A Darker Shade of Red. He was also involved in the production of a short film, The Value of My Sanity.

This weekend’s performances are a workshop production of NSFW. A full performance is expected to be staged in 2015.

Tickets are priced RM 20.
