Najwa, a Malaysian musician now based in New York, is back in town and will give a rare performance in KL next week. Her upcoming performance is scheduled for Thursday 7 August, at The Bee, Publika.

The showcase is set to kick-start with a performance by Najwa’s brother, Farhan Yassin, better known as Moslem Priest, followed by a set from Najwa featuring songs from from her older albums as well as her recent EP, Aurora.

A graduate of International College of Music (ICOM), Najwa’s style of music fuses soul and R&B with stripped-down electronica. Her recent EP follows three years after her debut album, which earned her the title of Best New Artiste at the Malaysian Music Industry Awards.

Drop by The Bee next Thursday at 9pm and catch Najwa before she heads back to The Big Apple! Tickets are priced are RM40 and are inclusive of one drink.
