Malaysia’s online photography community PhotoMalaysia is collaborating with American Japanese photographer John Ishii to organise a street outing for photographers of all levels to brush up on their skills, learn new ones and meet other people with the same passion and interest in photography.
During the free walkabout around KL on Sunday 23 August, Ishii will be giving out pointers and tips on how to use mirrorless cameras (including smartphone cameras). Bring along any kind of camera for the walkabout.
Ishii, who grew up in Malaysia during the 60’s and 70’s, is a freelance photojournalist. He is known for his photos, stories and photo essays of the Malaysian countryside.
The Mirrorless Camera Street Challenge is open to all – aspiring, amateur and professional photographers with a unified passion in photography. It will be held on 23 August at 10am. Participants will gather at McDonalds opposite Lot 10 before they begin the walkabout.
