Contemporary artist Choy Chun Wei has been selected to show his works at the Art Basel Hong Kong (ABHK), a global platform for art that runs from 15 – 18 May. It’s a prestigious show and Choy is the only Malaysian representative – by no means an easy feat.
Presented by Wei-Ling Gallery, Choy’s piece is a project titled “The Human Landscape” which he will develop throughout the show for Art Basel Hong Kong (ABHK) 2014. It is one of the few specially curated pieces under the Insights segment of the Hong Kong show. The work is said to be a “cataloguing of human experiences” through a mixed media, interactive installation.
Choy, who is known for his deconstructed collages, is a graduate of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. He has been a part of the Rimbun Dahan Residency and has exhibited with Wei-Ling Gallery since his first solo “Kaleidoscopic Landscapes” back in 2007.
