Kakiseni International Arts Festival will be returning for its second year from 12 to 16 September in Pavilion KL. This year’s festival will be completely free, and features award-winning acts from both international and local performing arts scenes.

The festival will be showcasing acts such as Stuart Bowden (winner of The Directors Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2012) from Australia; Roberto White (winner of the International Puppet Fair of Lleida) from Argentina, dance duo Elias Aguirre & Alvaro Estaban (1st Prize winners of the International Competition of Choreography Burgos) from Spain.

Malaysian performers include nose flute musician Raman Bah Tuin from the Orang Asli Semai tribe, Darinai Dance Company headed by Zamzuriah Zahari, and a solo piece by Boh Cameronian Arts Awards winner Namron.

Aside from performances, the Festival will also feature acrobatic acts, children’s activities and workshops on filmmaking, dance and art. The five-day festival will culminate in Malaysia Day parade on 16 September around Pavilion.
