Good Vibes Festival returns with headliners Ellie Goulding and Empire of the Sun

After its maiden festival in August of last year, Good Vibes Festival has announced its line-up for 2014: Ellie Goulding, Empire of the Sun, Banks and !!! (Chk Chk Chk) are set to headline. They will be joined by Singapore’s Electrico and a slew of Malaysian acts, including Bittersweet, Da Vagabonds, +2db, Narmi, Froya, and Faiq and the Manja Mob. There will also be DJ sets from Kyoto Protocol, Dangerdisko and Indie Go and Co.Last year’s Good Vibes Festival, which attracted about 8000 people, featured nineties throwback rock stars Smashing Pumpkins and Ash. This year brings a decidedly different flavour to the stage: British songstress Ellie Goulding topped the UK charts with her pop hit “Burn” and has collaborated with Calvin Harris, while Australia’s Empire of the Sun won a following with their catchy indie pop anthems “We Are The People” and “Alive”.The festival will be held at the same venue as last year – Sepang Go Kart Circuit – on 23 August. Tickets will be sold in four phases with Phase 1 tickets available now and starting at RM 108.
