The Golden Pin Design Awards, based in Taiwan, has now opened its competition to Chinese-speaking countries, which include Malaysia, Macau, Singapore and China. This year’s awards committee will be accepting entries up to 30 June.

The competition, first established 33 years ago, accepts product designs in various fields, including household items, consumer electronics, bicycles, appliances, visual posters, commercial packaging and interior design.

Given the financial turbulence of recent times, this year, designers will be judged based on their ability to innovate in this dynamic economy and on their prowess to overcome challenges in the global market.
