Join the Jelajah Enak Rasa to appreciate the culinary heritage of the Petaling Street area this Saturday 23 February. Organised by Kaki Jelajah Warisan, together with KLSCAH Women Section, community hawkers, associations and friends of KL, the food tour will take place from 8am – 12pm.
Touring several historic hawker stalls on the century-old street, the walk will cost RM30 per person, which includes all the food tasted during the tour. Participants will also be given a specially designed notebook and stickers to mark each destination. You can find out more and register here. But hurry, because registration closes today!
The tour aims to raise awareness of the area’s food traditions and oldest stalls, which may not be able to survive after the MRT and mega tower developments in the area. To find out more about how these developments are affecting the people of Chinatown, read our recent feature here.
