KL is going green with the MENGO Green Hunt 2013. The Malaysian Environmental Non-Governmental Organization (MENGO) is running its an annual fundraising event on 27 October, now in its fifth year.

The Green Hunt is a unique treasure hunt of KL that involves solving puzzles and following clues, but exclusively on foot and public transport. The route covers around 5 km and flags off from KL City Walk, from 6.30am to 2pm.

MENGO is a network of 22 different environmental NGOs and organisers hope the Green Hunt will encourage people to appreciate the beauty of their city while promoting sustainable transport. There’s also RM20,000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs!

To join the green hunt bandwagon, all you have to do is sign up as a team of four. However, there is a participation fee as it is a fundraising event. It is RM250 per team for the public and RM1000 for corporate teams.

This year’s MENGO green hunt is expecting over 200 teams. Find out more and register at www.mengo.org.
