It would be reasonable to say that burgers are KL’s biggest food trend of the last year. It seems like almost every week, a new outlet and name appears in the food scene with some twist on beef and buns. If you’re tired of trying to keep up, FriedChillies may have the answer for you: on 7 June, they are bringing 20 burger vendors together for a feast at Padang Timur, PJ.
Ranging from street burgers to bakar and gourmet burgers, some familiar names in the vendor line-up include Kaw Kaw, Om Burger and Awesome Canteen. The event will be modeled on Fried Chillies’ nasi lemak event, where 10 famed nasi lemak vendors went head to head.
As well as having hundreds burgers being flipped fresh from 11am – 11pm, there will be short film screenings (about burgers) and games (probably about burgers). Buy a book of coupons to spend and let your belly do the rest.
