KL Car Free Morning is back for its second year and is now double the fun. Regulars will be happy to find out that Car Free Morning will now be happening twice in a month.

Every first and third Sunday of the month will now see parts of the city centre closed off for the benefit of cyclists, pedestrians and skateboarders. The designated 6KM route, known as The Green Loop will be closed for traffic and is off-limits to all motor vehicles. The route starts at Dataran DBKL. The route is car-free from 7:00am to 9:00am.

The KL Car Free Morning was previously held on the first Sunday of every month back in 2014 to promote greener and healthier living among KL urbanites. It now draws up to 10,000 people each month.

So, blow the dust off your bicycles, skateboards or opt for some good ol’ cardio to burn off the holiday feasting.

Every first and third Sunday of the month, 7:00am to 9:00am, starting from Dataran DBKL 1, Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur.
