We’ve partied long and hard from Christmas until the New Year to herald the arrival of 2014. In exchange, why not make it one of your resolutions to bring some New Year cheer to underprivileged kids?
The team at MyTeksi, a taxi-booking app, has launched an ongoing campaign called “Delivering Happiness” where they collect toys and books (using their taxis) to donate to 2000 children throughout Malaysia. The campaign runs until 19 January, with collections taking place at the weekend.
How does it work? Simply book a taxi via the MyTeksi app, select “MyTeksi HQ” as the drop-off location and they will come to collect the donations straight from your house. However, MyTeksi require a minimum donation of at least five toys, five English children books or a mixture of both.
Note that the drop-off time is from 9am to 5pm on weekends only and remember to key in #gifts in the “Notes to Driver” field to inform the driver that you’re donating. So hurry! You still have two weekends left to contribute to this charity drive.
