Now an annual event, the Big Bad Wolf book sale returns this week from 5 – 16 December at the MIECC, The Mines. This year, the sale will be open for 24 hours each day for the entire stretch of two weeks, opening at 7am on 5 December.Update: The sale has been extended to 21 December, 11.59pm. From midnight on 16 December to 2am on 17 December, there will be an additional 10% discount on all books.
Book worms will no doubt have already marked their calendars. With discounts of between 75% to 95%, prepare for hours of rummaging through millions of tomes spanning fiction, graphic novels, young adult, travel, reference, children’s books, cook books and more.
This year, the organisers have set aside a special area for people to sort their books, and the hall also has an area for people to leave (unpaid for) books in order to shop without carrying too much weight.
You can also get your hands on a first edition of the latest book from Fixi, Malam, which will launch at midnight on 7 December with just 3000 copies priced at RM8 each.
