Every October, a gradually growing pool of artists set themselves a challenge: to create one inked illustration a day for the entire month. Inktober was started in 2009 by an Utah (US) based illustrator named Jake Parker as a means for him to improve his inking skills. Since then, it has spread into a worldwide exercise for many artists, including here in Malaysia.

A few of the groups who have been active this month include InkTober Malaysia group powered by Sketches Online Store, Malaysian Comic Activist Association (PEKOMIK) and Comicore Club! As October is drawing to an end, we’ve scoured the web and compiled a list of Malaysian artists whom have caught our eye.
