When you’ve finally accomplished climbing a flight of stairs up to the Heli Lounge, you’ll find yourself standing out in the open surrounded by 360 degree views of KL and some mismatched furniture. View Rooftop Bar, located in G Tower, presents a view overlooking the city of KL, Ampang Hills and the Titiwangsa mountain range. There are three rooms to choose from: the GH Mumm Champagne Room, the Glenlivet single malt lounge and Al Fresco ABSOLUT Bar. While the wooden decked balcony is open air, parties can rage on under cover, rain or shine.

KL’s highest rooftop bar, Marini’s on 57, sit within Menara 3 of the Petronas Towers, shoulder to shoulder with the Twin Towers. There are three venues – Italian fine dining, a lounge with a vast selection of cigars and single malt whiskey and a bar with an in-house DJ spinning throughout the night. The bar has a dress policy, so scrub up for the occasion.

This Tiki themed bar at Aloft Hotel in KL Sentral keeps the atmosphere light and upbeat. Known for their cocktails, you can let the mixologists here shake up something to your fancy or go for the signature Malaysian Princess Mai Tai. From Thursdays to Saturdays, a variety of DJs will also be on the decks.

Stratosphere is another helipad-turned-bar, but with a modern garden vibe. The grassy roof of First Avenue is adorned with glowing, futuristic fixtures at night. Instead of overlooking the city of KL, Stratosphere looks over Petaling Jaya. If the elements aren’t friendly, book a meal instead at The Signature restaurant which is also part of The Roof.
