Why not rock out New Years with something different this year? Drug Free Youth Association (DFYA) will hold a New Year’s event with featuring rock music and extreme sports competitions like BMX, roller-skating and skateboarding. The event organisers hope to spread a positive anti-drug message among young people.

Held from 1.30pm on the 31 December until the early hours of the new year, the free event will be at Komplex Sukan Rakan Mudan Bukit Kiara. There will be 30 local and international bands performing, including Heart A Tack, Boulevard and Second Combat. The organisers will also be collecting food, clothes and cash for homeless people in the Klang Valley.

Long boards, beats and doing your bit for charity. Sounds like a solid plan for an alternative New Year’s Eve! Find out more at the DFYA Facebook page.
