To celebrate their tenth anniversary, Freedom Film Festival is hosting a two day arts festival this weekend at PJ’s Jaya One. As well as screening over 20 short films, there will be workshops, exhibitions and stalls relating to human rights issues. This year’s theme is “Democracy: Participate, Advocate, Change.”

Films being screened include the critically acclaimed Five Broken Cameras, the result of a collaboration between a Palestinian and Israeli filmmaker, as well as films by Malaysian filmmakers Nadira Ilana, Tricia Yeoh and Boon Kia Meng.
