November has a certain charm for people who write fiction. It’s the month of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), a writing challenge that started in the US but has since spread around the world. As of 1 November, many Malaysians will be taking up the challenge to write a novel of 50,000 words in one month.

November is also the month of George Town Literary Festival. Now in its fourth year, Poskod.MY is proud to be a partner of this international festival for writers and readers. Head to George Town from 28 – 30 November and join a series of lively, impassioned debates and talks on literature, writing and publishing.

What better way to celebrate November than by reading – and writing – more fiction? Starting from this Friday, Poskod.MY will be publishing a series original short stories by emerging Malaysian writers. These may be stories, but they also speak to (and from) urban KL life. We’re sure you’ll recognise some of the characters.

Can’t wait until then? Check out our past venture into fiction, Futura.
